Configure dynamic price adjustment features, set additional prices for product options, and implement flexible pricing strategies
Feature Overview
The price adjustment product is Sectionly's "hidden carrier" for implementing dynamic pricing. A single product can handle all option-based price adjustments across your entire store (no need to create individual SKUs for each price variation).
This product remains invisible on the frontend and is used solely for backend price calculations. It must maintain an "Active" status to function properly.
Core Scenarios & Operations
When No Price Adjustment Product is Configured (Triggers Alert)
If the price adjustment feature isn't enabled, a "Price Adjustment Setup Required" notification will appear at the top of your homepage.
Quick Setup
Click "Create Now" or "Create Adjustment Product" → Automatically creates a default price adjustment product (status: Active)

To understand the feature better, click "Details" or "Price Adjustment Settings" → Navigate to the explanation page, then click "Create Adjustment Product" to manually create the price adjustment product.
Price Adjustment Product Status Issues (Draft/Unpublished)
Status Detection
The system continuously monitors for issues (such as product being in "Draft" or "Archive" status) and will mark the status as Needs Fix
Click "Fix Adjustment Product" → Automatically repairs the status
If repair fails or reset is needed, click "Reset Adjustment Product" → Deletes the old product and creates a new price adjustment product

Price Calculation Logic
When customers select options with price adjustments, the main product price = original price + additional price (updated in real-time)
In the shopping cart, only the main product and final price are displayed (no separate price adjustment product shown):
No Price Adjustment Needed
Optional Feature
If your business doesn't require option-based pricing, you can skip this configuration entirely without affecting other features.

Managing Price Adjustment Products
In your Shopify admin "Products" list, you'll find the auto-generated "Adjustment Product" (name contains "Sectionly Adjustment" identifier):
Important Notice
You can modify basic product information (such as name and description), but do not delete or modify the price and product status (this will break the price adjustment logic).
